Dr. Brian J. Dixon is passionate about preparing today’s young people with real world skills to succeed in our changing world. Dr. Dixon has a doctoral degree in educational technology from San Diego State University where he studied students creating reflective video jounals online. He was also the director of online programs for High Tech High, a nationally recognized charter school network with 10 member schools throughout Southern California. Dr. Dixon founded the Mentorship Academy, a project-based, technology-focused charter school located in downtown Baton Rouge, Louisiana to provide a student-centered learning place to help underserved students prepare for success in college and beyond. Brian lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with his wife Julie and young son Ryland.
